‘Open Me Up’ is a track Geowulf wrote during the pandemic. “It’s a raw song for me that tells a personal story but it’s also one of my favourites we’ve done so far,” Star explains. “We spent two hours on FaceTime between London & Australia finishing the song.” It’s a bouncy, melodic piece of country-tinted pop that puts Star’s recognisable voice over relatively simple guitar chords that create the perfect accompaniment. It’s released alongside a music video that places the vocalist in a sunny retro setting as she sings along while playing basketball and wandering along the beach. -Dan Peeke
